Kalispell, Glacier Country Show July 2, 3,4th and the TSMHC show August 5, 6,7th.

      Farm news:
We went to a Mountain West Miniature horse club in Utah this weekend and we did real well. Dunner got 2 more championship this week end in pleasure driving that give him a total of 10 Grand Champions and he earned 10 points that give him 67 points so he only needs 3 more points for a HOF in Pleasure driving That is quite a deal for only being 5 years old. I want to drop him down to Country pleasure driving and also I will show him in obstacle and see if I can HOF him in obstacle also. I think he can do it. I did show him at halter and he got a second and a Reserve Champion when it came to the grand Champion class Dunner didn't want to show. He would not stand still like he did in the other classes. Im really pleased with him in driving. He is driving so much better this year even with me only driving him twice before the show. My gelding Kona earned 10 points in roadster and also 2 grand champion which give him 48 points in roadster and he now has 10 grand champions in that also. He didn't get any points in Country Pleasure. He would have placed but he didn't want to stand still. I think it was just too cold for him and he was feeling his oats. Kathy did real well with little Arrow he earned 2 more point at this show that gives him 64 points and 17 grand Champions in Western Pleasure Class.
Thanks for putting on a great show and congregation to everyone in their classes.

Dial News: Where is our summer? We are still having ugly weather and it is getting old fast. We did go down to the Memorial Day show and had a great time. Our horse did well and it was fun to see our Montana friends there to. Their horses did very well too. Unfortunately we are not going to Caldwell show but wish everyone good luck to all that are going. Our next show will be the Kalispell show over the fourth of July. We will be taking 2 halter and one driving horse. Our daughter in law who is in foal will be going with us, she has family up there and they are giving her a baby show. She will be about 8 months and I told she better NOT go into labor or she is on her own :
We would like to remind and invite everyone to our Snake River Horse Show on July 16 and 17th. Prizes for Performance Incentive, High Point Amateur, High Point Youth, and High Point PMC. Judges will be Roger Eitel, KimSeipp, andLindaReynolds.
Prime Design Tack will have their tack trailer there and Precision Sharpening to sharpen your blades and fix clippers. I think Julie is going to be there with her tack too. So lots of exciting things going on

News from Lilac Meadows Miniature Horses
      Hi Mini Friends,
I can't believe its already June. Maybe that is because its so cold and wet. May was very busy for me. I went to the AMHA show in Tremonton at the beginning of the month and the MWMHSPO AMHR/ASPC show at the end of the month. The horses did great. Envy looks really good this year and she has her first AMHA Senior Mare Grand plus she won an AMHR Reserve Grand Mare, under at her last show. Shes doing well in obstacle, her specialty, with 4 wins so far this year at two shows and she needs only 8 more points for HOF . I hope to finish that this summer. She also debuted in Country Pleasure Driving at her last show and received two firsts and two Stakes wins. Jackie has recovered from her cut leg and is very full of piss and vinegar. She did well in Utah and earned herself more points in pleasure driving and versatility. I also showed Devon for the Halls in Utah and he won a Grand Champion Stallion, under plus he won two firsts in Western Country Pleasure driving. I also have Rose in the cart and hope to drive her in Kalispell or Great Falls .
The Tack Shop inventory is slowly growing with new items. been fun and hopefully will start paying for itself soon. Each show I learn more about what everyone needs, Im sure next year will go smoother than this year. Its definitely a lot of work to set up the product and then repack it after the show. I'll have a shop in a tack stall at Area 8 Regionals, Kalispell= and Snake River . In Great Falls , I'll have products available but locked up in the horse trailer for security. Im excited to be able to offer Ultra products by the end of the month. Dont forget, I have access to a lot more tack and products than I have on my website or take with me so if you ever need anything specific, just ask. Dont forget to check out the web store at http://www.lilacmeadowsminihorse.com.
Besides spending a ton of time with the horses and the tack shop, Im still keeping my eye out for a good job and I have tons and tons of yard work to do plus eventually Joe and I have to finish decks etc.
For those of you with new foals, enjoy! For those that show, good luck! For everyone, enjoy your summer!

      DoubleDay Farm-
Things going well here, finally warming up and drying out...now to catch up with all the weeds!! :( Garden is coming along nice, and the yard is looking green.
We went to the Memorial show here in UT. last weekend and had a good time. Was good to see some of our MT. friends there! All our horses did very well considering the lack of time we had put into them due to the weather. They all got a Grand or Reserve and racked up a few points towards year end awards and Hall of Fame. Can't wait for Blackfoot show and I hope more of you will make the trek down.
We'd like to try to get up to a MT. show this summer since we didn't last year. We love the beautiful country and friendly people we have met. Jerr needs to get in a good fishing trip again!
We'll be spending Father's Day in ID. with my Dad, and then we go to Flaming Gorge for 4 days with friends for a fishing/camping trip the week after so lots of travel for us.
Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers up that way!

Oki. A surprise from Mini Glaciers Ranch - Prom Queen is expecting a foal any day now!! Thank goodness I have an observant farrier! The vet says she's in good shape and could go any day now...with one "red bag delivery" last summer and a still born filly in March I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a live foal to hit the ground...this would be the first one for Mini Glaciers. Unfortunately, she will not be driving this summer, but as soon as she foals, I plan to continue to her ground driving and have her in a cart by next summer.
If anyone has a solution for mud that sucks your boots off, please send it along - right now that's what my corral and most of my property is like.
